An overnight stop in your journey demands that you find refuge somewhere in the Old City of High Walls. Explore the city and learn about it's buildings, it's people, and the world it resides in.

Featuring 5 or so endings, and more words than you could ever read, or want to read.

It may lag in chrome, but my experience is that it runs perfectly in firefox, if that helps.

Made in Bitsy which lets me make games as easy as I make sentences, which is to say perhaps not so easy after all. I also used Borksy and bitsymuse to hack in the music, which is by wonderboi.

I love the vibe of this!

thanks for playing!

I love the dialogue in this game! :D

Is there a walkthrough for getting all the endings? Or, how can I bring the alchemist something meaningful of my own? I know several places that I can write letters now, but the game always ends right after I write them.

no guide that i know of, but ill let you know what i can remember:

- the alchemist only has some extra dialogue if you collect an item somewhere and come back to him, theres nothing fancier than that.

- I think there are only five endings, one is much more insane than the others but they all just reset the game after.

-beyond that there are just a bunch of little secrets, some of which are quite hard to find.

hope that helps, thanks for playing!

Tevis Thompson gave this 8 out of 10, so that's a pretty good recommendation.

woah cool! and he gave rainworld a 10/10 so I know he's legit

This little game is so charming. Even the almost unrecognizable sprites add to the charm!

"How can you top rock bottom?"

I think about this a lot.

Thanks for the game and making me think.

thank you, for playing and thinking about it!

nice game! thank you for making this <3

question! can you leave the 'corrupted' area after passing over the bridge?

(+2)

No, only by making it to the end of it.

That ending down South sure was a wild ride all the way through :o

Desperately trying to find something the Alchemist will accept! He doesn't seem to care for his own writing. How do I find meaning in this life?

(+1)

You cant please everyone. finding meaning in a city like this sometimes requires a look at the big picture <3

ahh this is so uniquely charming in ways that are too hazy to describe, and also deliciously meta at parts. you did a wonderful job!!! ✨✨✨✨✨

This is an awesome game! I didn't find all endings, but I think I found 2 of them. It would be really cool to have different dialogue when talking to someone again

I'm in love with the music! Can you upload it somewhere, like on Youtube?

A wonderfull tittle world that makes me feel far away. Thanks for that. :)
One question: exists more ways to use the items you can collect? I have only discovered a different dialogue with the alchimist.

nah thats it haha, im glad you discovered that though!
