This game is great! It conveys such a perfect level of unease and ponders out loud a lot of interesting design questions about the nature of play in nonstandard space.
i really enjoyed this game! Took me an embarrasing long time to figure out how to turn the camera round haha
Great game. Felt a lot of unease exploring a familiar world from a different angle and context. The text scattered throughout the world added so much. The one about Halo 2 reminded me of a time in Half Life 2 where my speedboat disappeared due to a bug and I had to complete the water hazard chapter all on foot. It was such a different experience navigating a space that wasn't meant for walking. Makes me want to go back and play the Halo games but only on foot.
thanks for playing, and sharing your insights! its wild how even something "in bounds" can feel so wrong and off just from the difference in traversal
Very good experience ! Interesting to discover this place in a vision less frenetic and hallucinatory than the original game. This game shows us the other side of a world where everything is happy and animated. Nice Job !
Btw if you want a French translation, don't hesitate, send me your texts (t.daveluy@gmail.com)
This was so interesting to play! I love Mario Kart and it's very nostalgic for me so playing No Sidewalks in the Mushroom Kingdom was cool. I enjoyed the text spread around the map and all the cars floating in the void below the bridge. The lights of the city turning on and off again was very unnerving. I loved the experience of walking around a track I loved as a kid.
thanks so much for playing and sharing your thoughts!
feels nice to take a little stroll
Hi! I found this thanks to Tumblr and since I think this is a really fun game and I’m a freelance translator looking for experience, I was wondering if you’d be interested in a Spanish and/or Italian translation!
woah, cool. I would be interested in that, Do you wanna maybe email me with details? coojohnl@sheridancollege.ca
Hey, I tried emailing you but I get an error message back saying it’s “undeliverable”. Can I message you elsewhere?
uh sure, try johnleeerg@gmail.com
So much fun!! I loved it!!
Glad you liked it!!
Really thought-provoking and unique experience! I've never felt so determined to walk super slowly through a big area; I wanted to find all of the thoughts scattered around so badly.
thanks!
Games as a medium for exploration of liminal spaces, such as this, should be more widespread!
hell yea
I love this.
